In 2024, The Felix Organization began the process of collaborating with A BroaderWay Foundation, an organization founded in 2010 by Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs with a focus on serving systematically underrepresented girls and gender-expansive youth through performing arts as a vehicle to foster leadership, self-expression and confidence. With an alignment in their respective mission to uplift and enrich the lives of underserved and underrepresented youth, The Felix Organization and A BroaderWay Foundation felt they were better together.

This union poses an opportunity to combine missions, expand programming and deepen impact by incorporating A BroaderWay arts programs into the traditional camp programs that have stood tried and true over the 20 years of Camp Felix. The collaboration between Felix and ABW focuses on fostering leadership to introduce a new set of future leaders from Mott Haven Academy Charter School to our new pilot programs. By focusing on a population that The Felix Organization has had ties with for many years working in partnership with The NY Foundling, we are able to expand upon what these youth have come to expect from the home that is Camp Felix. Camp Felix-ABW provides them with a world class experience in the arts while taking advantage of traditional camp activities like swimming, climbing and more, in a beautiful sleep away camp setting.
