Camp Felix Road Trips
​Through this year-round program, we send teens from NYC foster care agencies, including Good Shepherd Services and Seamen’s Society, on day trips to beautiful and interesting destinations outside of New York City.
This gives them the opportunity to step outside of their neighborhoods and their comfort zones to explore nature and participate in unique activities they may have never tried before like surfing, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, sailing, visiting art galleries and farms, and so much more.

Paulie's Riders is always a highlight of our Road Trip program each year! We are grateful to our program partner HorseAbility, a therapeutic horse farm in Westbury, New York, for showing a group of Haven Academy students--"Paulie's Riders"--an amazing day of horseback riding, grooming and feeding. For most of our kids, this is their first time interacting with horses and getting the chance to ride is a memory to last a lifetime!
